What makes turpentine oil so special

About turpentine oil

Turpentine oil is obtained from pine resin through a distillation process. The pine resin consists of 70% solid gum rosin, 15% liquid turpentine oil and 15% water. After the distillation steps, the liquid turpentine oil separated from the pine resin and the solid gum rosin remain. These two raw materials are used in a variety of industries. Turpentine oil is a colorless liquid with an intense and pleasant odor due to the terpenes. Turpentine oil is composed of mixtures of isomeric terpenes.  To be more precise, 70% α-pinene and 30% β-pinene. There are also qualities which contain 10-20% 3-carene. Limonene, camphene and other terpenes are present in small quantities. Our portfolio includes origins from the main producers China, Indonesia, Portugal, Brazil, Spain and Argentina.
